Only Manipulated People Live in Someone Else's Head: Artak Zakaryan

Artak Zakaryan writes on his Facebook page: "Nevertheless, put on your mask, dear compatriot. Today, the Prime Minister's live broadcast was about the search for culprits in the failing fight against the coronavirus and individual responsibility. Prime Minister Pashinyan is right that our people do not maintain order, that they do not comply with or respect the decisions of the government and the commandant’s office. Without that, the fight against the virus will not succeed. We all must take responsibility—without exception.

I am sure that every person realizes this, even instinctively. They realize that the virus is dangerous, but do not follow the requirements; why? Perhaps they do not believe or trust? Maybe the social burden is heavier than the threat of infection? Or perhaps people have started to worry about the future altogether?

Typically, a normal person avoids fear, uncertainty, and instability. The fear and instability created by the virus raise many other questions in the minds of thinking individuals. Our people have never lacked their own reasoning. Only manipulated people live in someone else's head. Pashinyan wants people to continue living as he imagines. As it once was, when they would block streets at 8:15, close courts at 9:30, gather in squares at 10:20 when told to shout 'dmp, dmp hu', and bang spoons at 20:00 in the evening, and so on. But that was a phase in our lives that has passed. Now many people are realistic and pragmatic. And that means that the government has come to face many problems.

Meanwhile, it could have been wise to avoid many issues. People have a thousand and one problems against which even the coronavirus can do nothing. And their methods of solving those problems often also disregard the pandemic's requirements. It is sad, but it is a fact.
