2.5-Year-Old Child Attacked by Stray Dogs in Gyumri Regains Consciousness
A 2.5-year-old child who was attacked by a group of stray dogs in the yard of a house in Gyumri is showing positive health dynamics. The child has regained consciousness and has started to breathe independently. This was reported by Gevorg Derzyan, the spokesperson for the Surb Astvatsamayr Medical Center.
The child was transported to the Gyumri Austrian Mother and Child Hospital with multiple injuries and dog bites, where they underwent surgery, and was subsequently rushed to Yerevan for further treatment at the Surb Astvatsamayr Medical Center. Here, the child had a second surgery, which involved maxillofacial intervention, and sustained numerous injuries to the face, limbs, and other parts of the body. The child's neck was severely injured and they are currently in the intensive care unit.
Doctors are assessing the child's condition as serious but stable.
