Stepantsminda-Lars Road Open Only for Freight Transport

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that the roadways in the Republic of Armenia are mostly accessible. 

Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs Emergency Situations Department and the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations North Ossetia Crisis Management Center, due to the state of emergency, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open only for freight transport vehicles.

According to information from the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the decision to prohibit foreign nationals from entering Georgia remains in effect. The ban does not apply to freight transport.
