Edward Nalbandian has cast the commission examining the circumstances of the April war into new history: "Zhoghovurd"

"Zhoghovurd" newspaper reports that the members of the parliamentary commission investigating the circumstances of the April 2016 war are at an impasse. As is known, they held a video conference yesterday with the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Edward Nalbandian. He shared some notable details regarding the ceasefire agreement made in 2016, thereby casting the commission into a new historical context.

The issue is that many questions remain unanswered since former Chief of the General Staff, Yuri Khachaturov, has refused to appear before the commission, and Nalbandian's statements have raised new questions.

It should be recalled that he was the one who secured the ceasefire agreement on April 5, 2016, in Moscow, which effectively nullified the tripartite ceasefire agreement signed in 1994.

The 1994 ceasefire agreement was a tripartite one, between the republics of Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh, and Azerbaijan, while the 2016 agreement was bilateral, between Armenia and Azerbaijan, excluding Artsakh from the process.

During the video conference, Nalbandian pointed fingers at Khachaturov, which prompted the commission's chairman, Andranik Kocharyan, to announce that Khachaturov is given two days to respond, or else they will present conclusions without him. However, "Zhoghovurd" has learned that despite these threats, Yuri Khachaturov still will not come to the commission.
