COVID-19 Infections Worldwide Exceed 6 Million: Worldometers
The number of COVID-19 infections worldwide has surpassed 6 million. According to Worldometers, there have been 6,034,666 reported cases of the virus globally, with the death toll reaching 366,896 and 2,661,257 people having recovered.
The United States leads in both cases and fatalities, with 1,793,530 infections recorded, of which 104,542 have resulted in death.
The top five countries with the highest number of COVID-19 infections are Brazil with 468,338 cases and 27,944 deaths, Russia with 387,623 cases and 4,374 deaths, Spain with 285,644 cases and 27,121 deaths, and the United Kingdom with 271,222 cases and 38,161 deaths.
