Mishustin Expands List of Sectors Affected by Coronavirus Pandemic to Include Media
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has included media outlets in the list of sectors affected by the spread of coronavirus. This was reported by kp.ru.
"The media sector has been included among the areas of the Russian economy that have been most severely affected by the consequences of the coronavirus," said Mishustin.
Financial support measures will be available to publishers, newspapers, magazines, periodicals, television and radio companies, online publications, and news agencies.
Mishustin emphasized that the role of the media is especially important at this time, as citizens need to receive timely and accurate information about what is happening in the country and around the world.
It is noteworthy that the government of Armenia has presented more than 10 anti-crisis action packages due to the spread of the coronavirus, none of which include Armenian media outlets.
