Severe Situation Created in Armenia Due to Coronavirus, Says Prime Minister
A severe situation has been created in Armenia due to the coronavirus. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during today’s routine cabinet meeting: "We are dealing with the second wave of the infection."
The Prime Minister noted that in his opinion, to bring the coronavirus indicators to zero, it is essential to follow three simple rules: wear a mask, regularly disinfect hands, and maintain social distance.
“Today's numbers show that, unfortunately, we have not yet learned to live alongside the coronavirus. We will constantly have not only local but also global interactions with the coronavirus. For instance, we are bringing many of our compatriots back from abroad, and there are and will be individuals infected with the virus among them. If we cannot prevent the spread of the coronavirus through public behavior, we will constantly face such situations,” he said, adding that methods of administrative coercion will be tightened on a daily basis.
