21 Out of 36 Monitored Businesses in Norq-Marash and Nubarashen Administrative Districts Found to Violate Health Regulations
The Health and Labor Inspection Body of Armenia, accompanied by police officers, conducted a constant monitoring operation today in the Norq-Marash and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan to assess compliance with safety regulations among businesses.
The monitoring aimed to prevent the further spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) and involved 36 businesses, of which 21 were found to be in violation of the rules established by the Armenian Prime Minister. The documented violations have been sent to the Prime Minister.
The inspections revealed that businesses operating in the outskirts of the capital tended to neglect safety regulations more frequently. The main violations registered were related to the lack of personal protective equipment, such as masks and gloves, the absence of disinfection materials, shortcomings in the disinfection of surfaces, thermometers and their usage logs, as well as the lack of foot-operated (closed) bins for used masks and gloves, and separate changing rooms for outer clothing.
As a result of the safety violations recorded by the Health and Labor Inspection Body, a suspension decision regarding 932 businesses has already been made by the Prime Minister as of May 26.
