Manvel Grigoryan Sues the Ministry of Health

Former MP and former president of the Union of Volunteers, Manvel Grigoryan, has filed an administrative lawsuit against the Ministry of Health, contesting its inaction regarding the decision on the further treatment of Manvel Grigoryan.

In an interview with NEWS.am, Grigoryan's lawyer, Levon Baghdasaryan, stated that they had approached the Ministry of Health twice requesting a decision on Grigoryan's continued treatment, both times receiving refusals to respond, and to the third application, they have yet to receive a reply.

“We submitted Mr. Grigoryan’s epicrisis and requested a conclusion on whether it is possible to organize treatment here; if not, to allow him to travel abroad for treatment. They responded to us once that this matter is not under their jurisdiction and advised us to apply to the Ministry of Justice, which replied that they have no authority since the person is not in custody and the issue must be resolved by the Ministry of Health,” said the lawyer.

He also mentioned that they have reached out to the Human Rights Defender and the European Court of Human Rights regarding this issue.
