Children Among COVID-19 Patients in Noyemberyan

According to LURER.com, cases of COVID-19 infection have been registered in the town of Noyemberyan, Tavush Province. The total number of infected individuals has reached 12, including young children. This information was confirmed to us by the mayor of Noyemberyan, Karen Abazyan.

“At the moment, there are several citizens with positive test results, but I cannot specify an exact number. Initially, one man was confirmed, and then family members from his household and his brother’s household were also affected, as they live in the same residence,” the mayor reported.

In response to a clarifying question about whether there are children among the infected, he replied, “There are families, and there are children as well, but I cannot provide further details.” Abazyan noted that the first confirmed case was a man who had no connections with other provinces or Yerevan. “The first infected man has always resided here, without any interaction with other regions,” he added.

According to the mayor, individuals who had contact with the families are currently isolated.
