Protest in Shushi Against Newly Elected President of Artsakh
A protest took place today in the city of Shushi, Republic of Artsakh, against the newly elected president, Arayik Harutyunyan. The demonstration coincided with Harutyunyan's formal assumption of office during a special session of the National Assembly.
Photos from the protest were shared on the Facebook page of ‘Conscious Choice’, showcasing a group of citizens conducting a flash mob. They stood in the street, holding banners with slogans such as 'Stolen Elections', 'Treasury Thief', 'Do Not Swear, We Don’t Believe You', among others.
Participants of the protest blocked the street leading to the cultural center, while police formed a barrier to prevent the demonstrators from advancing further.
