Mayors to Be Arrested: Authorities Are Getting Rid of Foreign 'Elements' - 'Hraparak'

The police have conducted searches at the homes of the mayors of Kapan and Kajaran. There is a criminal case underway against the leader of Goris. The Mayor of Sisian, Sargsyan, is also facing issues with the local police chief.

In Syunik, there are rumors that mayors will soon be arrested, as they are considered foreign elements by the current authorities and are seen as obstructive. Kapan’s Mayor Gevorg Parsyan confirmed that a search took place at his house. He stated that they were looking for evidence related to some criminal case. Did they find anything?

“Of course not, what evidence could they possibly find at the house of the Mayor of Kapan?”

When we asked Parsyan if he considers himself a foreign element, he replied, “I wouldn’t say I’m a foreign element, but I am not from their political team.”
