St. Peter's Basilica Opens to Worshippers in the Vatican
St. Peter's Basilica and its surrounding area in the Vatican have been disinfected over the course of two days. A team of ten individuals sanitized approximately 15,000 square meters.
According to Euronews, the disinfection process included not only the floors but also the fences and monuments.
Since March, churches and basilicas in Italy have been closed, and religious ceremonies were conducted without the presence of worshippers.
In Italy, over 225,435 cases of coronavirus have been reported, with more than 31,000 fatalities.
