Major Accident Near Lake Tukhmaqi: Car Crashes into Electric Pole and Rolls Over

On May 17, at 10:27 PM, the National Crisis Management Center received a report of a traffic accident near Lake Tukhmaqi on Jacques Yves Cousteau Street in Yerevan. The vehicle overturned, resulting in injuries.

A rescue team from the special operations unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was discovered that a Mitsubishi vehicle (driver: Gurgen Z., born in 1995) had exited the roadway, crashed into an electric pole, hit a barrier, and rolled over, partially damaging the electric pole and the barrier.

The driver and passenger Rita I. (born in 2001) were hospitalized at Erebuni Medical Center. Rescuers disconnected the vehicle's electrical system and closed the gas tank valve.
