State of Emergency in Georgia to be Lifted on May 23
The Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia, announced that the state of emergency imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic will be lifted on May 23. This information was reported by pia.ge.
“We have made the decision not to appeal to the President and Parliament to extend the state of emergency any further,” Gakharia stated. He emphasized that the lifting of the state of emergency does not mean that all restrictions will be removed.
