I No Longer Wish to Address Edmon Marukyan: Alen Simonian

Vice Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonian writes:

“I saw how Marukyan once again distorts reality and tries to justify that I supposedly didn’t say this, and when I did, I meant this. And now he is circulating a video in which he proudly states that on the 17th day of the revolution he came to the people when we had already been beaten, taken to the hospital, and had already been discharged. Meanwhile, Serzh Sargsyan had already been elected. Even today, he does not understand that my post, which he denies the existence of, was intended for him to come and join the people in the streets of Yerevan, and not to talk about Serzh in the National Assembly while creating a vision of a constructive opposition.

I no longer wish to address Edmon Marukyan; I believe people are also tired of all this. It is time to move forward.”
