Mr. Vagharshak Hakobyan, do not dare to raise your voice against me next time: Arman Tatoyan

“Mr. Vagharshak Hakobyan, do not dare to raise your voice against me next time, do not attempt to speak to the Human Rights Defender of Armenia from positions of power, and do not try to threaten the Human Rights Defender of Armenia next time,” stated Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan today, responding to the MP's address.

Prior to that, Hakobyan had criticized the annual report of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia and called for prudence and impartiality from the Defender.

After his rebuttal, Tatoyan announced that there are legal mechanisms available to hold individuals accountable if his words are ignored.

Regarding Hakobyan's criticism that women's rights were only mentioned in two lines of the report, Tatoyan responded that a substantial section dedicated to women's rights spans 101 pages.
