90 Businesses Suspended for 24 Hours
The Health and Labor Inspection Body of Armenia has announced on its Facebook page that, according to the Prime Minister's decision number 70, a temporary suspension of operations for 24 hours has been applied to 90 businesses operating in the regions and the capital, including pharmacies, branches of major supermarket chains, beverage manufacturers, shops, and electronics sales outlets.
The businesses under restriction were found to have new violations established by the Prime Minister’s decision as a result of extensive monitoring conducted by inspectors of the Health and Labor Inspection Body. The monitoring was also based on calls and complaints received through the Health Ministry’s hotline, Facebook page, and online sources.
It is mentioned that the operations of another thirty businesses were suspended the day before. Under the directive of the head of the Health Ministry, strict oversight is being applied regarding compliance with safety regulations established to prevent the spread of the coronavirus during enhanced inspection activities.
The violations have been reported to the Prime Minister.
