If Andranik Kocharyan Did Not 'Disarm' Sasun Mikayelyan... Nikol Pashinyan in the National Assembly

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, addressed the recent incident during a session in the National Assembly a short while ago. Prior to that, he congratulated everyone on the 28th anniversary of the liberation of Shushi, as well as the 2nd anniversary of the peaceful Velvet Revolution of 2018.

The Prime Minister picked up a bottle placed in front of him, mimicking footage circulating on the internet, in which My Step faction member Andranik Kocharyan takes the bottle placed before his faction colleague Sasun Mikayelyan, 'snatching' it from his hands. Pashinyan recalled that the water bottle had once been used as a 'weapon' in Sasun Mikayelyan's hands.

“If Andranik Kocharyan did not 'disarm' Sasun Mikayelyan, perhaps that political legacy … would have ended the incident as well, but yes, we lost today. I condemn you, dear Mr. Mikayelyan; I condemn myself, us,” he stated.
