Roads in Armenia Mostly Passable; Lars Open Only for Trucks
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of 08:00 on May 6, roads in Armenia are mostly passable. However, the roads leading to the Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake in the Aragatsotn region will remain closed for an indefinite period.
Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Emergency Management Department and the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations' North Ossetia crisis management center, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open only for freight transport after intensive snow clearing work.
At the same time, we inform that the decision prohibiting foreigners from entering Georgia remains in effect. The ban does not apply to freight transport.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
