Improvement of the Tsovagyugh-Semyonovka Road Accessibility
Starting in the second half of May, a program will be launched to improve the accessibility of the H-53, M-4-Semyonovka-M-4 republican road with state funds. As reported by Armen Zohrabyan, head of the architecture department of the Gegharkunik regional administration, the initial cost of the program is 196 million drams. The announced construction competition is currently in the finalization phase.
The project includes a pothole repair covering an area of approximately 1,000 square meters, the installation of 24,578 square meters of single-layer asphalt, and road signs. The length of the road being improved is 11.8 kilometers, starting from the Tsovagyugh intersection, passing through the Semyonovka community, and ending at the Gegharkunik-Tavush border. The implementation of the road accessibility improvement program will create opportunities for the renovation of the Sevan-Dilijan highway tunnel,” the head of the department stated.
