Spain Records Lowest COVID-19 Death Toll in the Last One and a Half Months
In Spain, 164 people died from COVID-19 over the past day, marking the lowest death toll since March 18, reports El País.
On April 1, the country recorded a peak in deaths, with 950 patients succumbing to the virus on that day. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of deaths in the country has reached 25,264.
The number of infected individuals increased by only 838 in one day, the minimum figure in recent weeks. A total of 217,466 people have contracted the virus to date.
Furthermore, 118,902 Spaniards have recovered, with this figure rising by 1,654 in a single day.
