Roads in Armenia

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of May 2 at 08:15, the roadways in the Republic of Armenia are mostly passable.

The roads leading to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake in the Aragatsotn province will remain closed for an unspecified period.

Regarding Lars, based on information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open only for cargo transport after intensive snow clearance work.

We also inform that the ban on the entry of foreigners into Georgia remains in effect. The ban does not apply to cargo transportation.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
