Ani Samsonyan Files Complaint Against User for Inciting Violence Against Marukyan

LHK MP Ani Samsonyan has filed a complaint with the Prosecutor General's Office regarding public threats and calls for violence against Edmon Marukyan, the leader of the Bright Armenia Party and its parliamentary faction. These threats were made by Haik Stepanyan, a member of a group named "Guardians of the Revolution," through his Facebook account.

Ani Samsonyan announced this on her Facebook page, stating: "SELF-JUSTICE SHOULD GIVE BIRTH TO SELF-JUSTICE. Today, I submitted a complaint to the Prosecutor General's Office regarding public threats and calls for violence against Edmon Marukyan, the leader of the Bright Armenia Party, made by Haik Stepanyan through his Facebook account.

At the same time, I have sent an inquiry to the Investigative Committee to learn about the status of my previous complaint related to the ongoing criminal case regarding the fact of a citizen being subjected to self-justice by that group. Let me reiterate, in a legal state, there is no place for self-justice, and if law enforcement agencies do not take this phenomenon seriously and hold those responsible accountable, be assured that it will lead to serious threats to both society and the internal security of the state."
