We Will Not Pay: Protest Against Utility Bills Takes Place Near Government
Today, a protest took place outside the Government building, demanding not to collect payment for gas and electricity, as a state of emergency has been declared in the country.
"We demand that the Prime Minister of Armenia and the Government stop these diversive actions against our citizens. The government prevents us from working, the emergency committee prohibits us from working, yet the Electric Networks of Armenia and Gazprom demand payment," said one of the participants of the protest, noting that the protests will continue.
It is worth mentioning that they held the protest while maintaining social distancing.
A police officer on duty near the Government requested them to leave the Government building within a reasonable time and to conclude the protest.
The video was shared by an individual named Артур Мовсисян, who is also one of the participants in the protest.
