Video: Youth Burn Turkish Flag in Republic Square
On the evening of April 23, a group of young people organized a protest in Yerevan's Republic Square on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
Facebook user Taron Manukyan announced live that this year's traditional torchlight march would not take place due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, he stated that he would continue to burn the flag of the Republic of Turkey each year on this day until the country confronts its history.
"As a sign of protest against the Turkish government's denialist policies and in support of my claims, I am burning this flag," declared the youth.
