Three Survivors of the Genocide Live in Armenia
In Armenia, three citizens receive pensions from the State Social Security Service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs as survivors of the Genocide. This information was provided by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in response to an inquiry from Armpress.
The survivors are Ovsanna Mirkhanyan (born in 1915), Mari Kirakosyan (born in 1908), and Yepraksi Gevorgyan (born in 1914).
Those who were born in the territory of the former Ottoman Empire before December 31, 1915, receive, in addition to their pension, a state supplement equivalent to 50 percent of their pension, as well as an additional 100,000 drams as a recognition of their survival of the Genocide.
