Health Sector is Now Breathing Lightly, Let's Not Stifle That Breath: Torosyans to Janjughazyan
It is encouraging statistics that in conditions of a 7% economic growth, healthcare spending has increased by 22%. This was mentioned today by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a cabinet meeting, while referring to the figures presented by Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan.
It should be noted that Janjughazyan pointed out that increasing healthcare expenditures at a rapid pace creates an inconsistency in comparison to other sectors.
Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan also stated, “The healthcare sector, traditionally underfunded since the years of independence, is now breathing lightly. Let’s not stifle that breath and continue to increase expenditures at a rapid pace.”
