Cybercriminals Activate, Targeting Banking Sector and Social Media in Armenia: Expert
Information security expert Samvel Martirosyan wrote on his Facebook page: “Amid the coronavirus backdrop, cybercriminals have sharply activated. Today, the main targets of attack in Armenia are the banking sector and social media. It’s important to finally enable two-factor authentication on social media. In the case of banks, when conducting online transactions, it’s crucial that 3D secure is activated when you validate the transaction via SMS. Also, have a token that generates a unique code for every online banking transaction. Here is my token from Ameriabank. When the aforementioned tools are activated, you leave cyber fraudsters with very little chance. You must put in a lot of effort to avoid harming yourselves collectively.”
