Artsakh Rescue Service Takes Necessary Steps to Control the Epidemic Situation

The directives of the caretaker are mandatory for the members of the caretaker team, heads and representatives of state administrative bodies, as well as for the police, national security service, ministry of defense, emergency situations state service forces, territorial administration, and local self-government bodies involved in ensuring the legal regime of the state of emergency.

This was stated by Tigran Abrahamyan, the press secretary of the Artsakh caretaker, in an interview with Artsakhpress.

He informed that the epidemiological situation in the republic is under control, and the caretaker is taking all necessary steps to maintain the situation.

“To date, there have been 7 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in Artsakh, of which two citizens have already recovered. Currently, there are 25 citizens in isolation facilities, and the number of tests conducted is 141. Additionally, the caretaker's hotline receives about 40 calls a day regarding the movement of people and cargo between Artsakh and Armenia, and other inquiries,” T. Abrahamyan noted.

It should be mentioned that the establishment and activities of the Artsakh caretaker are derived from the president's decree declaring a state of emergency on April 12. The unified management of forces and resources ensuring the legal regime of the state of emergency is implemented through the caretaker established for this purpose.
