Norashen Completely Closed Due to Non-Compliance with Guidelines During Funeral, Says Pashinyan
The coronavirus pandemic in Armenia is currently manageable. However, if the existing attitude continues, there could be a second outbreak of the pandemic. This was stated today by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a government meeting.
He recounted an incident in Norashen where an isolated individual attended a funeral accompanied by a police officer and a healthcare worker, with the permission of the emergency situation command. However, the individual did not adhere to social distancing measures and other guidelines, embracing relatives, and later tested positive for coronavirus.
The Prime Minister said that as a result, it has been decided to completely isolate the village of Norashen.
