Patient Infected with Coronavirus Dies at St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Alina Nikoghosyan, wrote on her Facebook page: "A death case has been recorded at the St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center. A 66-year-old patient had contracted a coronavirus infection, confirmed with bilateral severe pneumonia. The man had a pre-existing chronic condition—ischemic heart disease—resulting in thromboembolism of the upper mesenteric arteries. An amputation of the lower extremities was performed. Unfortunately, his life could not be saved. We have recorded 44 new confirmed cases of coronavirus and 32 recoveries."
