Petrosyan Questions Accountability for Remarks on Soldier's Uniform

During the discussion of a bill aimed at criminalizing calls for violence in the National Assembly, Gagik Petrosyan, a member of the Prosperous Armenia Party, referred to the creator of a widely shared video mocking soldiers in uniform.

"If I say that the ears of those who desecrate a soldier's uniform should be twisted or punished, will I be held accountable for this?" Petrosyan stated.

He commended the aspiration to reach the heights of European law but insisted that one should not forget their Armenian identity and traditional values. Petrosyan reminded that lessons must be learned from history.
