I Know All Convicts by Name and Surname, I Urge You to Vote in Favor: Zohrebyan

The deputy from the Prosperous Armenia Party, Naira Zohrebyan, calls for support for a draft proposal put forward by the parliamentary faction of the LHK. According to the author, the bill aims to set additional guarantees for MPs to visit prisoners without obstruction.

The government believes that the draft does not solve any issues. Defending the bill, Naira Zohrebyan stated that she is likely the only MP who knows all convicts by name, surname, and even blood type. She emphasized that she speaks not as a lawyer but as a practicing deputy who has frequently visited correctional facilities.

She noted that there are currently no barriers to visits, but there is no guarantee that obstacles will not arise, as such incidents have occurred in the past.
