In Germany, for the first time, the number of COVID-19 recoveries has exceeded the number of infections – TASS

In Germany, the number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 has surpassed the number of infections for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic. This was reported on Sunday by the Robert Koch Institute for Virology in Berlin, as cited by TASS.

According to the institute, which operates under the country's health ministry, the number of confirmed infection cases in Germany stands at 120,479. A total of 60,200 patients have recovered, while 2,673 have died. Thus, the number of active infections is 57,606.

On April 8, it was reported that Germany ranks fifth in terms of total infection numbers. However, the number of deaths due to COVID-19 in German hospitals is lower than in Italy, France, and Spain, with Germany's mortality rate not exceeding two percent.
