Is Moscow Transitioning to Passport Regime?
The Mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin, has addressed the citizens of Moscow, announcing that the situation regarding the spread of coronavirus demands new measures, including the gradual implementation of a passport regime. This information comes from the BBC.
The passport regime is set to be established next week. In the first phase, it will apply to those commuting to work, and subsequently, ‘if necessary,’ it will extend to movement within the region, the mayor stated, promising to provide additional details regarding the timelines for the implementation of each phase.
Starting from Monday, digital passports will be introduced in Moscow, according to the television channel “Rossiya 24,” citing Sobyanin.
