Online Trade Turnover Tripled During Lockdown: Arshakyan
During the lockdown, online traders have been able to continue their activities. This is a positive shift. Today, this was stated by Minister of High Technological Industry Hakob Arshakyan.
“We receive data from various online trading platforms, and it can be said that the total turnover has tripled. The circulation of online monetary funds has also multiplied across different platforms, according to various estimates. I believe this will positively affect Armenia's economy in terms of both transparency and convenience in the future,” he noted.
Arshakyan also spoke about the delivery of pensions for vulnerable groups and mentioned that this process is nearing completion. A total of 215,000 pensioners’ pensions have been delivered to their residences, as well as benefits for vulnerable groups and childcare allowances for children under two years old.
He indicated that issues have arisen related to the cancellations of flights by airlines and restrictions in the delivery process.
