Manager of 'Daroinq' Infected with Coronavirus; Production Currently Halted
Cases of coronavirus infection have been reported at the confectionery manufacturer 'Daroinq'. The infected individual is a manager of the company who was responsible for registering orders.
In a conversation with NEWS.am, the director of 'Daroinq' LLC, Karapet Afrikyan, stated that the case was identified on April 1, and the individual's contacts have been traced, leading to the isolation of other employees.
"At this moment, production is halted, and we have not yet decided on our further actions; we are analyzing the situation and waiting for it to stabilize. We disinfect the factory and vehicles daily, and we have already been taking employees' temperature several times a day," he said.
Afrikyan indicated that it is unclear where the employee contracted the virus, and the claim that the employee's parents also work at the company is not accurate.
Karapet Afrikyan noted that inspections are being carried out by the state agency, and the area is continuously disinfected, with employees complying with the prescribed safety measures during the pandemic.
