Bus Operations Resumed by Driver's Personal Decision, Service Suspended - Vahan Hunanian
Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan’s press secretary, Vahan Hunanian, addressed the photo of a crowded bus circulating on social media on his Facebook page, making the following statement:
“We would like to emphasize that the operation of public transport was suspended by the decision of the commandant on April 1. The bus shown in the photo resumed its work in the morning due to the driver’s personal decision, and later the bus service was suspended. Unfortunately, some political figures continue to unfoundedly target the work of the commandant during the state of emergency, trying to mislead the public and gain political dividends in this situation. The commandant’s firm stance on ensuring public safety is also evidenced by the fact that for the first time in 39 years, metro service has been suspended. All the actions of the commandant's office are aimed at ensuring the public interest, and we urge our opposition partners to support the measures aimed at maintaining public health.”
