The Decision of the Emergency Situation Command Was a Result of a Technical Error: Charentsavan Will Remain Open

“Dear friends, I would like to inform you that the RA Emergency Situation Command has a plan of action prepared for various scenarios of the situation development, specifically regarding Charentsavan, we have developed and outlined a clear comprehensive action plan which will be activated as needed.” This was stated by Kotayk region governor Romanos Petrosyan on his Facebook page, referring to the closure of Charentsavan due to the coronavirus.

“Please take note that the decision recently published by the Emergency Situation Command was the result of a technical error, for which we ask for your understanding. Additional official information will be provided regarding the possible implementation of new restrictions in relation to the developing situation. I encourage you to follow the directives of the Emergency Situation Command and obtain information exclusively from official sources. Stay healthy!”

It should be noted that earlier, a decision had been published by the Emergency Situation Command, indicating that people and vehicles would be prohibited from entering and leaving Charentsavan until April 5.
