Snowfall in Lori, Aragatsotn, and Syunik Regions; Road to Lars Closed

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of 20:45 on March 16, the main roads in Armenia are mostly passable. However, the roads leading to Amberd Fortress and K'ari Lake in the Aragatsotn region will remain closed for an indefinite period.

Snow is falling in the Lori region cities of Tashir, Stepanavan, Vanadzor, and Spitak, in the Aragatsotn region's Aragats area, and in the city of Goris in the Syunik region.

According to information received from the Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia's North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed for all types of vehicles.
