Diana Gasparyan Discusses Online Abuses Against Local Woman with Human Rights Defender
Edjmiatsin Mayor Diana Gasparyan recently had a phone conversation with Armenia's Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan, during which she expressed her concerns regarding insults and inappropriate comments directed at a local woman on the internet.
In this context, the mayor wrote on her Facebook page: "Mr. Tatoyan and I agreed that the gross violations of a woman's personal life, honor, and dignity are unacceptable and must be condemned. The Human Rights Defender promised to keep an eye on the issues raised as well as on a few others discussed during the phone call.
Dear followers, I request, urge, and demand that you refrain from making offensive remarks about our fellow citizen and from sharing her photos; doing so is condemnable both morally and legally‼️
P.S. I also announce that inappropriate comments under this post will be deleted."
