Vahagn Harutyunyan Arrested in Russia; Extradition Process to be Discussed
Vahagn Harutyunyan, the former head of the investigative group for the March 1 case, has been arrested in Russia, and the process of his extradition will soon be discussed. This information was provided to News.am by the Armenian Prosecutor General's Office.
The head of the Public Relations Department of the Prosecutor's Office, Arevik Khachatryan, noted that the police have been informed about the arrest, and the extradition process will be initiated in accordance with established procedures.
Harutyunyan was dismissed from his position as Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee and head of the General Division for the Investigation of Particularly Important Cases last July.
