Children Show No Symptoms, Says Director of Echmiadzin No. 4 School
On March 14, a confirmed case of coronavirus was recorded in a school-aged child. The child is one of the students at K. Abovyan No. 4 Secondary School in Vagarshapat. The school's director, Arusyak Muradyan, told SHANTNEWS that isolation procedures had been underway since the morning.
"I consider this a natural phenomenon because this isolation is being carried out for the safety of the children. A total of 27 students have been isolated along with their parents," said the director, adding that some parents also took their younger children with them.
Muradyan emphasized that the children have shown no symptoms. "I have no doubt that everything will be fine. The isolation procedures are already complete. Those who needed to have been transferred to Tsaghkadzor," noted Arusyak Muradyan.
She also mentioned that there is general unrest among the parents and students of the school, but the parents understand that everything is being done in the interest of their children's health.
Regarding the parents who opposed the isolation procedures, our interlocutor said, "That was because they were all transported together on buses, but they were assured that safety was being ensured."
