Additional Clarifications on Temporarily Restricting Communication with Georgia
Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan has provided additional clarifications on the temporary restrictions on communication with Georgia via his Facebook page.
“Considering the epidemiological situation caused by the new type of coronavirus, the Armenian government has made a decision to limit ground and air communication with Georgia until March 24, 2020, inclusive, following bilateral consultations and agreements with the Georgian government. The restriction does not apply to citizens of Georgia and Armenia returning to their countries and their family members, persons with legal residence rights, personnel of each other's diplomatic representations and their family members, as well as official visitors performing mutual visits,” he noted.
“The normal flow of freight transportation between Armenia and Georgia will continue,” he added.
