79 Days Were Needed to Prove I Have No Connection to the Charge. Armen Tavadyan
Armen Tavadyan, the owner of Fifth Channel, agrees with his lawyers that both the charges against him and his detention were illegal. He made this statement today, March 11, upon leaving the Yerevan-Kentron penitentiary during a conversation with journalists.
“It would be better for the lawyers to talk about the case. I can say that I feel good, I feel normal. I met many good people in prison who are performing their duties fairly and have been attentive to us,” Tavadyan said, as reported by news.am.
Tavadyan emphasized that the charges against him are fabricated: “I share my lawyers' opinion; there is nothing, this is a fabricated case. Unfortunately, it took 79 days to prove that I have no connection to the allegations.”
