China to Provide Armenia with 1,000 Free Coronavirus Tests
The Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China, Tian Erlong, to discuss the situation regarding the coronavirus both globally and in China and Armenia.
The ambassador announced that the Chinese government will soon donate 1,000 free coronavirus diagnostic tests to Armenia. Additionally, the Chinese embassy has provided Armenia with certain financial resources to acquire more medical supplies.
Regarding the situation in China related to the coronavirus, the ambassador assured that the situation is improving. Arsen Torosyan mentioned that with the warming weather, there is a trend for viral diseases to decline, and at present, aside from one confirmed case, there are no other individuals infected in our country.
The minister also addressed the citizens in quarantine, noting that they are feeling well, no symptoms have been detected in them, and after the quarantine period ends in 8 days, they will return home. Both sides expressed willingness to continue close cooperation. At the end of the meeting, Arsen Torosyan thanked the ambassador for the support.
