13-Year-Old Child Severely Beaten in Gyumri Has Never Been in a Care Center

Reports have been coming in since the morning that the child severely beaten yesterday in Gyumri had been in a special care center for children for years. The child returned to their family after the decision made by Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Zaruhi Batoyan, to close overnight shelters.

However, the Ministry clarified that the beaten 13-year-old has never been in any care center. According to information provided by the regional administration, the child has lived in a secure family environment.
