In Iran, police have arrested a man who was kissing religious shrines. According to The New Arab, journalists have discovered that this man is not the only one fighting against COVID-19 in this manner. Videos have circulated online showing at least three individuals, including one child, licking religious shrines.
It is worth noting that a video recently went viral showing a man passionately kissing the metal gates surrounding the tomb of Imam Reza, the spiritual leader of Shia Islam, in Mashhad.
