Importers Protest Outside Georgian Embassy in Armenia Over Car Compensation Issues
Importers are staging a protest in front of the Georgian Embassy in Armenia. The company 'Caucasus Auto Import' from Georgia is obliged to fully compensate for damages incurred during the transportation of vehicles, according to their agreement. However, the citizens state that compensation is not being provided as agreed, and sometimes they receive cars that were not purchased by them.
One importer said, “We have worked with the Georgian company under an agreement that if we buy a car and transport it to Yerevan, the company is required to compensate for any damages to the vehicle. This has always been the case, but recently, as the flow of vehicles has decreased due to changes in customs regulations, the company has refused to pay our compensations. We are receiving vehicles that we did not purchase.”
